The triumph of socialism

Those of you who are jubilant over Obama's recent coronation, consider where he wants to take this country. He wants to make us into France, or worse maybe Cuba or Venezuela. Obama and his liberal congress allies are trying to leverage their newfound power into a socialist agenda that they are trying to hammer down the throats of a still mostly conservative, freedom-loving populace. Witness the current "porkulus bill" scandal. This bill has nothing to do with stimulus, but everything to do with satisfying special interests and empowering liberal thugs. Obama has cast aside his smiling, "hope-and-change, put away the old politics of division" campaign message and has resorted to using fear to bludgeon the Republican opposition. He says if we don't pass this bill today, a "crisis will become catastrophe". Translation, do what he wants or the country will go down the tubes. So much for hope, so much for bipartisanship.
I just listened to a caller to the Mark Levin radio program who touted Obama's message of hope and pointed to the great success of socialism in France. Well, ironically, there is a recent article talking about how people are suffering so bad in Paris that they have taken to scavenging from garbage dumps outside of food markets! Read this article you will see where Obama wants to take us. Socialism has failed to generate economic growth every time it has been tried. If you want to see what America could look like in four years, look at France. If you want to see what eight years of this administration might look like, look at Venezuela. Like Chavez, Obama and other liberals like Senator Stabenow from Michigan (whose husband just happens to be the former executive of liberal Air America, can you say 'conflict of interest?) want to silence any media (read talk radio) that opposes their agenda. Look out, the leftist gestapo is at the door of freedom. What will they censor next? Conservative internet sites, newspapers, FoxNews?? Will they apply the same level of control over liberal networks like CBS and news outlets like the New York Times? I think the answer to that question is obvious.
